The State of Arizona’s Department of Economic Security produced this feature video, which brings to life the impact that its 3-year partnership with The Precisionists, and the employment opportunities this collaboration provides, is having on the careers of neurodiverse individuals, whose skills and talents had been previously underutilized or overlooked.
In February of 2019 Arizona Governor Doug Ducey announced the creation of an innovative program, known as the “Phoenix Precision Project (PPP),” with a vision to create employment opportunities for adults with autism in the Phoenix community. The PPP was developed as a collaborative effort which included Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES), Salt River Project (SRP), First Place®, and The Precisionists, whose mission is to create jobs for individuals impacted by autism and other diverse abilities.
The Arizona Department of Economic Security was one of the first organizations in Phoenix to partner with TPI on this initiative. At DES what began in late 2018 as pilot project comprised of a team of four TPI data analysts, providing support for the Centralized Data Services department, has grown today to dozens of TPI associates supporting multiple projects throughout Arizona DES’s Family Assistance Administration.
